The proper use of DHEA can offer great benefits, however as with any
supplement using it improperly can lead to problems. The best dosage may vary
with each person and their individual goals. The general recommendation is
that men and women should consider taking a total of 25mg (1 dose) up to 75 mg
a day in three divided doses. Most human studies use a daily dose of 50 mg,
and this is the typical daily dose the majority of people use to restore serum
DHEA to youthful levels. Women and men over age 60 are commonly prescribed
50mg and 100mg, respectively. Younger people produce more DHEA naturally so
they can take less. Pregnant or nursing women should not take DHEA and it is
always best to consult your physician. Take
preferably with meals but does not have to
be.
 Accurate dosing of
powder can only be obtained with an accurate milligram weight scale. We
advise that an accurate milligram weight scale be used to measure out each
serving as measuring by volume is not always accurate.
