Julio Arce (14-2) had his UFC debut on Saturday, January 20th in Boston, MA. Julio first appeared on Dana Whites Contender series a few months back and showcased his well-seasoned skills over the weekend by taking home his first UFC victory.
“Arce put a good combination together 30 seconds into the third and had Ige scrambling to stay upright. They scrambled several more times through the third, but Ige never was able to put anything together to put Arce in any danger – though he did his best to stay in there swinging.
Arce won for the sixth straight time. Ige had a six-fight winning streak snapped with the loss.

Shane Burgos (10-1) fought Saturday, January 20th on UFC220 as well and although he didn’t take home the victory, his fight was awarded fight of the night!
“And after a spirited, back-and-forth effort worthy of a rivalry, Kattar one out. A big right hand led to a violent finishing sequence as he earned the third-round TKO. The time of the stoppage was 0:33 of the third round.
Kattar got the best of things in the opening round. Every time Burgos pressed forward, he was met by crisp straight hands and jabs from the fluid Kattar.
In the second, though, Burgos started landing shots to the body which seemed to throw Kattar off his game.
With the fight hanging in the balance, Kattar landed a big right hand that wobbled Burgos, followed by an uppercut that dropped him. He rained down punches and while Burgos tried to get to his feet, ref Dan Miragliota has seen enough and waved the bout off.
“He’s a hell of a fighter,” Kattar said. “Props to him, he stands up and and he gave it as good as he took it. It was a great fight.””

Katlyn 'BlondeFighter' Chookagian (10-1) fought last weekend on January 27th, UFC Fight Night in Charlotte, NC. After a long recovery from an injury she sustained from her last UFC fight, Katlyn took home the victory and showcased her skills in the new Flyweight division.
"After being sidelined with injury since April, Chookagian said it felt good to finally get back to work and win a fight injury-free. She’s ready to return to the octagon soon, she said, and hopes the UFC will give her a fight that allows her to prove exactly where she stands in the weight class.
“I want to be busy,” Chookagian said. “I train all the time, I want to get back in there. I know there’s a card coming up in Atlantic City, so I really want to be on that card, but I’ll take anything as soon as possible.
“I think this is the fourth girl in the top 10 of this division that I’ve beat,” she continued. “I think that should put me up somewhere pretty high. Someone that’s up near the top so I can work my way up.”"
