NutraBio athlete, Jimmie Rivera, proved he has a heart of a champion in his recent bout at UFC Fight Night “Rozenstruik vs Gane”. Jimmie and his opponent, Pedro Munhoz, went the distance this past Saturday and gave the Mixed Martial Arts community an action-packed 15 minutes.
Jimmie came out strong in the first round and was able to land powerful combinations including punches and kicks. His opponent was able to stand toe to toe with him and counter with calf kicks that began to take a toll on Jimmie’s leg. Even with an injured leg, Jimmie continued to push the pace during the second and third rounds as both fighters traded punches and kicks. It was non-stop action for the whole fight and quickly garner the attention of elite fighters in the UFC.
After three rounds, the fight went to the judges' scorecard for the decision, and Pedro Munhoz was declared the winner. Jimmie and Pedro showed nothing but respect and appreciation for one another after the fight, including comparing their battle scars.

Both fighters were praised for their performance and awarded the "Fight of the Night" honors, which included a $50,000 bonus, and February’s UFC "Fight of the Month" honors.
