Katlyn Chookagian WinsATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Undefeated (6-0) MMA fighter and NutraBio Athlete Katlyn Chookagian was center stage Saturday night, competing for the first ever CFFC Women’s World Championship title. A sold out crowd cheered on for the headline fight pairing the New Jersey native Chookagian against Isabelly Varela, another undefeated (7-0) MMA athlete fighting out of Brazil. CFFC55 Chookagian VardelaChookagian got her pro-debut in the CFFC and has shown absolute dominance in her 5 fights, winning 1 by Knockout (knees), 1 by submission (armbar) and going the distance in the other 3 to win by decision.Katlyn Chookagian Kick Face Varela was the first southpaw Chookagian has faced and on paper seemed like a she could threaten Chookagian’s untarnished record. None of that matters in the ring though. After the first round of feeling each other out, Chookagian settled down and put on an absolutely dominating performance in rounds 2-5. She proved she was the best fighter, hands down, with more focus, strength and endurance. Katlyn Chookagian Punch “It feels awesome. I can’t even describe it. I’m just so happy right now,” Chookagian said as she held up the championship belt to the cheering crowd. Chookagian trains at Allstar BJJ, home to some of the greats including the famous Gracie family, Frankie Edgar, Edson Barboza and many more. Chookagian joined the NutraBio family back in 2015 when she was looking for fitness supplements to compliment her relentless training routine and dedicated lifestyle. “When I went pro, I realized that nutrition was just as important as training. Helping meKatlyn Chookagian NutraBio to get the most out of my training. I started to learn a little bit more and I never really took any supplements. When I started with NutraBio, I started taking the MuscleMatrix protein for meal replacements and for cutting weight. When I am cutting weight, for my body, I am always eliminating carbs. So, I use NutraBio Super Carb in place of oatmeal or sweet potatoes, all that stuff that makes me hold on weight a little bit. I replace those foods with Super Carb. I take that right before my hard sparring sessions. Right now, my training consists of 6 rounds with only 30 second breaks between them, so I make sure I always take Super Carb before I do my hard sparring sessions.” Katlyn Chookagian NutraBioThe judges scorecards had Chookagian with the unanimous decision of 50-42, 50-42 and 50-44. “I just hope that it draws more attention (to the sport) and gets me better opponents. I have the title and they’re going to want to come after that. I just want to fight as much as I can and the best people I can. I love fighting for CFFC and on the East Coast is where I grew up. So to be able to represent them for the Women’s title means a lot to me.” “It’s going to be all hard fights from here,” Chookagian told Sherdog.com after her title win. “People know that I hold the title. It’s a new title so it doesn’t mean as much now as it will when I defend it against other tough girls. They’re only going to find other tough girls. I’m really happy right now but it’s not going to mean anything until I defend it.” To the victor go the spoils. Chookagian is now the current CFFC Women’s Flyweight Champion (the only CFFC women’s division). She received the official hardware, carrying her new championship belt on her shoulder as she left the arena. We can only assume that she will also receiving a banner to hang from the rafters with the other CFFC champions, including fellow NutraBio athlete Nick Pace (current CFFC Bantamweight Champion). #ANDNEW #BlondeFighter #CFFC #NutraBio #MMA #WithoutCompromise Katlyn Chookagian Wins Championship Belt Title Katlyn Chookagian Fight Katlyn Chookagian Weigh-ins Katlyn Chookagian Flex Muscle
